French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister David Cameron will on Saturday discuss the debt crisis in a telephone call, the French presidency said.
Cameron, currently on holiday in Italy, and Sarkozy would focus on the "financial situation" in the call later on Saturday evening, it added.
Hundreds of billions of dollars in value were lost this week during a global stocks sell-off sparked by eurozone debt concerns, enhanced by prospects of a slowdown in the US economy.
