Man could face animal cruelty charges

A man could face some serious charges after four dogs were found dead on property he owned in Flat Rock.

According to police, officers were called to the home after a neighbor saw the dogs. When officers arrived they found four dead American bulldogs and two that were alive. But one was taken to the veterinary hospital and later had to be put down. The surviving dog, who is said to have eaten other dogs, is recovering at Flat Rock animal control.

The owner said he came to the house every couple of days to feed the dogs.

An investigation is underway to see of charges will be filed.
