David Stern and Jim Rome throw down

Broadcaster Jim Rome and NBA commissioner David Stern are guys who don't back down.

When they get together the conversation can be interesting and a little nasty.

When Rome asked about the conspiracy of the draft lottery, Stern answered by asking Rome when he stopped beating his wife and "shame on you for asking."

When Rome countered that people were interested in the conspiracy Stern said he doesn't get asked that question by "respectable journalists" and that Rome got a "cheap thrill" asking the question.

Good stuff all-around.
