Jerome Erickson, Vice President of Technical Operations for Orbitel Communications was inducted into the Arizona-New Mexico Cable Communications Association?s Hall of Fame at a dinner on February 6, 2012 in Phoenix. The AZ-NM CCA works closely with state and federal lawmakers to implement a positive legislative program for the cable television industry.
Inductees are cited for their long tenure in the industry and for significant contributions to the development of cable television in Arizona and New Mexico.? In order to be eligible for nomination, candidates must have a minimum of 20 years of service in the cable television industry.? This is the 26th year for the Arizona-New Mexico Cable Television Pioneer Hall of Fame.
Erickson, who came to Maricopa from Casa Grande and hails from Boston originally, has put in more than 25 years in the industry. He started working with Orbitel in 2007.? During the last five years, Jerome has overseen all engineering and technical operations for Orbitel.? ?Jerome has been integral in our success and growth during the last five years?, said Keith Kirkman, President/CEO of Orbitel.? ?He has helped us as a small cable operator offer world class products and services to our customers.? We are very proud that the Association has recognized him for his contributions through his long career to our industry.?
