Why Do So Many More American Soldiers Suffer From PTSD Than British Soldiers Do?
Americans involved in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan have suffered from PTSD at a rate of 30 percent, compared with 4 percent among Brits, according to a study published by the United Kingdom?s Royal Society of Medicine. MOVIES
One Lucky Elephant
This finely woven documentary spans nine years in the complicated relationship between a circus elephant named Flora and her owner, ringmaster, and trusted companion, David Balding. One Lucky Elephant exerts a powerful poignance (at times it?s like a video-shot Dumbo), but its most memorable achievement is the way it burrows into the delicate layers of elephant psychology. (Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly)
