[PLEASE READ] Saluting the historic TV-Movie Event! This is a ?prime-time? power video of goodwill, admiration, and respect featuring vintage ?Hollywood? highlights of the best professional-sports cheerleading organization in the world (since 1972). Although the TV movie featured a handful of actresses?Jane Seymour, Pamela Susan Shoop, and others??posing? as (wannabe) cheerleaders, actual 1978 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders unmistakably (and necessarily) dominate the final squad. Also ?playing themselves? in the film are original DCC choreographer Texie Waterman, Cowboys VP Gil Brandt, Texas Stadium executive Bert Rose, DFW radio personality Ron Chapman, and Dallas attorney WW Mitchell. The movie?s plot?journalist goes undercover to ?get some dirt? on the DCC during tryouts for the squad?is virtually ignored in favor of focusing on the cheerleader audition process and the emotions, distractions, and diversions of the participating girls along the way. Unremarkable teleplay dialogue is lifted by the sincerity and poise of Laraine Stephens (as original DCC director Suzanne Mitchell), the vulnerable appeal and striking beauty of Ellen Bry (ST. ELSEWHERE), the insouciant self-promotion of gorgeous Kathrine Baumann, the pluck and commitment of Lauren Tewes (THE LOVE BOAT), the fears and faith of Pamela Susan Shoop, and the characteristic glow of star Jane Seymour (DR.
